Basic For
Young Dogs
This class is for dogs 4 months to 9 months old who need to learn their basic cues ( Sit, Down, Stay, Leave it, Come) and also get a bit of playtime! We also discuss common topics like jumping, mouthing, and basic manners.
Basic Obedience
Class
Basic Obedience Class is great for dogs of any age who are ready to work on basic commands such as: sit, down, stay, leave-it, come and loose leash walking. We also work on impulse control and anti-jumping exercises. Class is full of natural distractions, so even if you have a few of these cues already, it is a great environment to work in to increase difficulty. This class is also a great way to strengthen the bond between you and your dog!
Intermediate Obedience Class
The Intermediate course is designed for dogs who have basic training skills and is perfect for graduates of our Basic Obedience Class. The class concentrates on refining the basic skills and challenging the dogs. Our class covers behaviors on cue at a distance with increasing distractions, instant recalls away from distractions, college level "leave its", advanced (and fun) impulse control exercises, a few impressive tricks, and more.
Accelerated Basic Obedience Class
This class is for dogs who have had a jump start on basic obedience training and aims to improve dog’s listening skills in environments filled with distractions. The class will address impulse control exercises, “leave it”, “drop it”, loose leash walking with an introduction to “heel”, recall and stay.
A prerequisite for this class is your dog understanding “sit” and “down” commands. Need long lead (not extendable kind) for recall.
Distracted Dog Class
Does your dog know its basic cues but only excels in your living room with treats in your hand? Learn to build their focus around real-life distractions! Also learn how to get them to work without opening the treat bag first! Excellent for dogs who had difficulty in a basic or puppy K or are unable to listen outdoors! Pre Reqs: Sit, Down, Stay, Leave-it
Loose Leash Walking
In this course, you and your dog will learn all the tools necessary for successful leash walking in the city! We will cover loose leash walking, teach heel, how to greet appropriately and "leave it" for the inevitable garbage/food on your walk!
Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Preparation + Test Class:
This class preps for and administers the CGC test for your dog.
The CGC class teaches good manners to dogs and responsible dog ownership to their owners. The 10-step Canine Good Citizen test is a non-competitive test for all dogs, including purebreds and mixed breeds. The CGC award is a prerequisite for many therapy dog groups. Some homeowner’s insurance companies are encouraging CGC testing, and an increasing number of apartments and condos require that resident dogs pass the CGC test.
Dogs must be older than 16 weeks and must know basic Sit and Down commands.

Mind Your Manners!
Does your dog become too excitable, overstimulated or frustrated in situations with higher levels of distraction? In this class you will learn how to recognize your dog’s threshold and implement methods to help then harness their impulses to make positive choices. Dogs will work on down-settle, attention cues and exercises to build calmness around distractions and how to disengage from them. They will also improve their walking skills as well as learn heel, evasive maneuvers and anti-jumping exercises.
Prerequisite: Sit, Down, Stay, and Leave-it commands. Recommended for dogs who have completed the Basic Obedience Class and/or Intermediate Obedience.
Wallflower/Shy Dog Class
The Wallflower class is a socialization class for small adult dogs who are shy around other dogs and need to learn how to play and build confidence. We also focus on wheels ( i.e. skateboard, scooter, bikes, etc.), canes, crutches, handling, new people, general distracting sounds, and children.
Private session and permission required before entry into class.
Tricks Class
This fun and challenging 6 week course covers crowd pleasers like "spin," "high five," "dance," "rollover" and jumping through hoops. You and your dog can enjoy inventing flashy tricks after you master show business training techniques such as luring and free shaping. Trick training is a great way for both you and your dog to hone your training skills, and build your relationship. And impress your friends! Your dog must already know 'Sit' and 'Down' commands in order to register to take the class.

Teaching dogs to use their noses to sniff things out is highly rewarding for them and a great confidence-booster. Perfect for shy dogs, or dogs that just need a new hobby at home.
