Shelby Semel Dog Training On Call

For the moments that can't wait until your next session.

Typically, trainer support means emails, with responses within 24 hours — and we try to be as accessible as possible within that. But for some situations, that's not enough.

Bringing home a new puppy, a new rescue, or a new baby is its own kind of chaos — and most of the questions come up at 7pm on a random Tuesday, not during a scheduled appointment. On Call is built for exactly that.

Each month, I take on three On Call clients. Here's what's included:

This is the highest level of support I offer, and it's intentionally limited so I can actually be available.

  • A 30-45 minute virtual onboarding session to cover your dog’s history, your goals, and what to expect — plus we’ll get the logistics set up (shared albums, text threads) so everything runs smoothly from day one

  • Unlimited texting, 8am-8pm, six days a week (Sundays off) — send me the "is this normal" message whenever it comes up

  • Unlimited video review — show me what's going on, I'll tell you what to do about it

  • Phone calls as needed

  • Response within 3 hours during On Call hours

Pricing: $1,200/month. Month to month, cancel anytime, with a one-month minimum commitment. In certain cases, a 2-week option is available for $750.

Sessions: Some situations may call for a session — either before starting or during On Call. Session rates vary by trainer and will be discussed separately.

On Call is a great fit if you're navigating:

  • A new puppy in the house

  • A new rescue settling in

  • A new baby (or newly mobile baby) at home

  • A move from the suburbs into the city

Note: On Call is not designed for separation anxiety cases — for those, ask about our standard training programs instead.

Spots are limited to 3 per month please inquiry for more info.
